Electrical Help

Ok, I'm trying to build a remote controlled device using an Arduino. The arduino gives of 5V. I want to use 2 botball servos, a botball motor, and an IR sensor that takes a min .27 mA and max .45 mA. Since I am pretty much a complete newbie to electronics, how the heck would I go about making this? Would I need a transistor to amp up the current? If so, how much resistance would I need to add to the IR sensor? I am very confused.....
