Hi everyone,

Our CBC decided to stop working right before GCER (of course) and so I tried to fix it but it didn't work out. What it does is it boots, and then when you try to press anything it doesn't really work right. We tried recalibrating the touch screen, but each time we did that it was still bad. We even tried to offset the calibration, but that didn't work either. Currently, it's impossible to press the top buttons (like Run), and also when you click on Programs, nothing happens (but it recognizes as being pressed). I tried updating the firmware and stuff but I either didn't do it correctly (see below) or it didn't work.

So right now, we have to run the robot by pressing the Run button from KISS IDE and be constantly connected to the computer. Obviously this isn't legal in a real match.

The previously mentioned "below":

I looked at the instructions and it said to plug the flash drive in before, and then boot. I tried that but nothing different happened (it booted normally). So I held my finger to the screen to load special options, and tried updating it through there. But I don't think that did anything, possibly because everything is already updated.

So does anybody have any suggestions?

Try putting in the flash drive after the first chumby screen appears. If that doesn't work, try another flash drive. Some flash drives don't work on the CBC.

I tried putting it in when the white screen came AND when the two circles came.

Also, I did try multiple flash drives. First, one of mine, and then the Botball flash drive for GCER...
