We have been using the ks2 simulator and we have found that when we run the same code multiple times we get different results. My theory is that the simulator adds in some random error to the inputs and outputs to simulate real life conditions. Is this what is actually happening? Has anyone else had this problem? Strangely some students in my class get consistent results while others do not. Is there an option to turn this on and off?

ks2 does not add any noise to the simulation. ks2 works by stepping through time at a fixed refresh rate. If a refresh takes longer than normal, it is possible the simulator will miss things. I would suspect this is related to individual system specifications. Is the random behavior exclusive to the slower computers you have?

Thanks.
