Well... I just bought the Xbox 1, and I was wondering if I wasted a bunch of money on it, because maybe the Xbox 360 was better. I wouldn't know, but is this a big step up from the earlier versions, or did I just waste my time? Tell me what you think!
Actually that was a good choice because a lot of people are converting up to the new stuff and they might stop making games for the xbox 360 and just for the xbox one. Then everyone will have to upgrade if they want the new games so yes.
I know, but half of my friends have the xbox 360, and I find it hard to communicate with them on the Xbox 1

Can you talk with them on the xbox 360 with the xbox one
You can message them, but not play with them, or have a Xbox party with them.

In the future, they might merge both systems. Xbox one is heavy on the all in one while 360 is not. One day, they might upgrade 360 in terms of hardware and make it the competitor of the ps4. Meanwhile, the xbox one would be for the less hardcore and more social gamers.
They won't make competing systems like that. It is just the xbox one for now(and probably the next 5 years). The console ecosystem is designed so there is a minimum of difference between them. You want to make it easy on developers and any big difference like that would upset them.
Ugh. More people need to get the Xbox 1 then, because I can't talk with any of my friends on the Xbox, but more people will start getting it when the new and more looked forward to games come out. I hope.
