How does the cbc-to-create cable work? Our cable doesn't work (My tests showed that the wire furthest from red isn't conducting through to the create connector) Does anyone know which pins on the create side connect to the pins on the cbc? I'm trying to make a(n illegal) patchthrough for this. (I will ask if could use this in the faq)

Stupid Create Cables! So fragile they are...

The two ports on left and right sides of the rectangle in the center of the connect cable, if the row of three pins is on top, are the TX and RX pins, respectively. So the left port should connect to the CBC RX port, and the right to the CBC TX port. Then the middle pin on the row of three should be connected to the CBC ground.

If you are feeling more ambitious though, you can configure a connect port to the create bay. It is also very easy.

Here is the link to the diagram (Page 4) The Create Open Interface Manual

Thank you! It works. Also, I remebered that our group is fielding an Open team this year, so I'll pass the patch on to them and take their legal create cable, so no worries about that.
